The 2015 tournament will have a new look for trophies. The new trophies have been donated by a long time supporter of the tournament.

In the 1990’s a family living on the East Coast of the US become familiar with the Jim Hitch Memorial through friends who also had children involved in golf. So after some research the family decided to have some fun and made the unusually long trip from the East coast to enter their sons in the tournament. Their very first experience impressed them so much they continued to make the trek from the East Coast to Guymon Oklahoma until their sons were beyond the age limit but they never stopped being supporters and fans of the tournament and what it stood for.

A few years later the family experienced the ultimate nightmare with the catastrophic loss of a son. The devastated family realized the similarity of the loss of their son who loved golf to the loss Lad and Lala Hitch experienced with the death of their son, Jim.

Although they wish to remain anonymous they have donated trophies manufactured by their company for the winners of each division in honor of the passion their children held for the Jim Hitch Memorial.
